Mount disk in SATA to USB 3.0 dock in VM

Hello all,

 

I am new to unRAID6. I have an Ubuntu VM configured, and I am trying to mount a SATA HD connected with a USB 3.0 dock. When configuring the VM, I check the box for the USB dock, meaning unRAID sees it, but I cannot see it within the VM.

Might not help but the best way to fix this permanently would be to pass through a usb controller to the VM. After that, USB stuff will be plug and play inside the OS, the same way as if it wasn't a VM.

If you have a spare PCIe slot, USB add on cards are very cheap.
