March 13, 201610 yr Hey guys, new to unraid so sorry if I say something stupid. ive finished setting up unraid OS itself, however I'm having issues with Plex. I have tried both the plugin version and docker version and I get the same issue. it does not show the local server listed. I can connect to the web gui at ip:32400/web and it lists all other servers that I'm connected to, but it does not list my unraid server. not sure what I'm missing.
March 13, 201610 yr See...you guys could help him, and me; by solving my thread http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=47443.0
March 14, 201610 yr Author so I originally had the plugin, then the limetech plex docker, now using binhex docker. still the same issue of no "new"server listed. not sure what I'm missing. any help would be appreciated
March 14, 201610 yr Author that would only work if it actually listed the server, but it does not. I can sign in to my other server because it is listed
March 14, 201610 yr Name conflict then? There's no reason you shouldn't see it when logged in to the server via the unraid IP. Have you checked the Plex docker log ?
March 14, 201610 yr Author no name conflict, no errors in log, trying linuxserver version now, will update in a few
March 14, 201610 yr Author this is a brand new setup, ive restarted fresh a few times today, so happy to redo it again if needed haha
March 14, 201610 yr just follow the same steps as the other thread?? lol i personally use linuxserver version of plex
March 14, 201610 yr Author I already did, using Linux server..same issue. so far I have now tested the 3 docker templates(limetech, binhex, linuxserver) and the plugin, all having the same issue
March 14, 201610 yr Community Expert Do you have a share named APP-CACHE? Is it cache-only? Do you have a share named PLEX? Note that the names must match exactly including upper/lower case.
March 14, 201610 yr Author i actually just figured it out! instead of going to unraid via ip then plex via docker webgui, i accessed from another server on the network via //tower then docker webgui and that started up the setup server screen! now all is good! thanks everyone!
