[Solved] Is there any way to balance data when adding a new drive?

Featured Replies

I've got very little space left on all of my drives. I'm adding a new drive. There are multiple TV series on the existing drives for which episodes will continue to download.

I'm worried that the remaining space on these drives will not be enough and I will start to encounter errors.

Prior to upgrading to v6, i was able to open each disk individually in explorer and manually move seasons to the new drive to prevent this from happening.

Since upgrading to v6, all I can see now is the storage pools, not the individual drives.

Is there a way to either access the drives individually again or is there a utility which will aid in moving data to the new drive to better spread it out?

Thanks.

If you want to access the disks individually as shares under v6 then you have to enable this under Settings->Global Share Settings.  By default disk shares are disabled to minimise the chance of data loss by users mixing Disk shares and User shares in the same copy command.
