MCMaestro
Hi guys, new here and am not brilliant with Linux so yeah... I would like to know where the Profiles for Plex are stored. Plex is located at /mnt/user/appdata/Plex The appdata share is cache only. I need to know where the profiles are because I'm want to get Plex to transcode DTS to AC3 or AAC for Chromecast. If I'm going about this transcoding in the wrong way please say. Thanks for any help, and thanks for having such a great support platform and a great community! Jack. Quote Link to comment
roland
I don't think you need to do anything for transcoding. Plex understands what format the client can consume and transcodes the stream in real-time when required. Just start streaming to the chromecast and Plex will do the rest. Quote Link to comment

Nope, no audio on Chromecast Need to tell Plex to transcode DTS somehow. Quote Link to comment
interwebtech
Look in the Chromecast's player settings. That is where the format request is set. Quote Link to comment
