Can't download unRAID. "bandwidth limit exceeded"

Featured Replies

I am having trouble getting unRAID.  I am getting "bandwidth limit exceeded" instead of the downloads page.  Am I the only one having this problem?  I need sysLinux and 4.5-final.

No.  It was noticed last night.

It's available at an approved torrent at this message - http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=4844.msg44515#msg44515

If there's enough call, I can mirror it for a while.  It's 53Mm too big to post as an attachment.

To those trying to help: Please don't post on rapidshare or any other free hosting sources.  They've always scared me from a security standpoint.

Sorry, I had already added a MediaFire link for it in the release thread, before I saw your post.  I have been using MediaFire recently, found it very convenient, and have not noticed any problems so far, or heard of security issues with it, so far.  But your point is well made, and caution is appropriate.  I did include an MD5 for verification.

It's always good to know where you're getting things from.  MD5's are good if you trust the guy giving you the hash.  Certainly you and Joe should be considered trustworthy.

It is surprising to me that a bandwidth limit didn't kill his main site too.

I have a site I could put it up on, I only have the latest beta and 4.5 though.

IMHO mirrors are excellent but the main site should never ever ever have  "bandwidth limit exceeded". This is what you see on people own personal hosting that cost them $10. If you see it on a corporate website the PR considerably overrides the cost. One lost sale due to this = more than the bandwidth will cost.

Agreed, I was shocked to see this message this morning and it gives me a bad taste in my mouth.  Why not throw it up on S3 or something...?

Here, for people who don't use torrents:  http://dropa-public.s3.amazonaws.com/unRAIDServer-4.5.zip

Would there be any issues, per release (or for all releases) providing a mirror? (issue from limetechs point of view).

I have plenty of bandwidth to spare and would happily mirror.

I think all of us do and honestly it wouldn't be a hardship for us, but Limetech might have other needs that we don't understand.  I was hoping to get us through this until we could get Tom's input.
