June 21, 201610 yr I'm trying to figure out how to wipe/delete a share on the unRAID server. (If easier just reformat the drives)? Can someone help??
June 21, 201610 yr Community Expert If you delete all the share's contents then you can delete the share from the GUI. You can only delete an empty share.
June 21, 201610 yr Author The GUI within the unRAID software? I cant find it for the love of GOD lol... where do i go? The issue is that when i try to delete from Windows Explorer/Finder it gives me a permission error when trying to delete the data.
June 21, 201610 yr The unRAID WebUI is accessed via a web browser on your home network via http://tower (or other name if you didn't use tower) or http://ip.address of your unRAID server. But I suspect you knew that? It would probably help if you supplied a little more information about what the current situation is and what you are trying to do .
June 21, 201610 yr Community Expert You can't delete a network share of any kind (not just unRAID) with Windows File Explorer, but if the permissions are right, you should be able to delete the contents of the share that way. Once the share is empty you go to the unRAID webGUI User Shares page and click on that share to get to the page for that share. If the share is empty it will say so and let you delete it.
June 21, 201610 yr Author I know about the webUI/GUI. (Cant find a function to just delete the data in a shared folder) Right now i have a log of data id like to wipe off the shared folder. I tried deleting it though Finder/Windows Explorer with no luck. Just want a fast simple data wipe.

You could even install Fix Common Problems, then run tools - Docker Safe New Permissions, and then delete the files through Windows
