After moving folders/files from one disk to a different disk using midnight commander, my user shares can't find the folders/files that were moved to a different disk.  How can this be fixed, what step am I missing in this process, etc?

 

(I know this has probably been asked and answered before and I spent a fair amount of time searching the forum, wiki, official manual but couldn't find any answer...I tried.)

Stopping and restarting the array should be enough.

As well as checking the share settings, you should also check the Global Share settings to make sure that you do not have any disks excluded that should now be used. 

 

As a general rule of thumb you should try to avoid using the Global share settings to control include/exclude disks and control them at the individual share level just to avoid this potential mistake.
