S2600CP Motherboard POST Beep Codes

Featured Replies

I'm having trouble with this motherboard and getting it fired up.  Curious if anyone have any experience with this motherboard and give me some direction on how to solve it

I'm receiving the following beep codes.

1-5-4-2 : DC power unexpectedly lost (power good dropout) - Power unit sensors report power unit failure offset.

I tried two different power supplies.

If you can boot with one processor, but get 1-5-4-2 with two, something's killing your 12V rail.  Make sure you've got the 2x4 CPU power connector fully seated, and just run with a single DIMM to start with.

well I send the board back to the store, and they send it to Intel.

Intel send me an new and now the system runs well.

Could well be a bad motherboard.

I had this issue with that same board and it turned out my PSU wasn't up to the task of powering that board. Buying a much better PSU (corsair rm850i) solved the problem.

Since you sent the board back I'd still invest in a very good PSU (if you haven't already).

I've Tried my Silverstone 1kw and a NZXT 850w psu and both results were the same. Contacted Natex and started the RMA process.

I'm on the hunt for a case.

I need a tower case that supports 9 external bays and SSI-EEB motherbaord.

Looking for suggestions.
