September 18, 20169 yr I only have a single GPU, I want to split my resources so i can create a VM for my wife that she can use for facebook and other things (Non gaming) She will be using a thin client to remote into her system While i will be gaming and sitting directly in front of the unit with monitors attached to the graphics card. Is this Possible? Also is their a way to pass through onboard sound to the VM or do i need a sound card if im not using the sound from the HDMI graphics card?

Such VMs do not need a physical GPU.

September 20, 20169 yr i want to make sure my wife can watch video and other rich things over RDP Use Plex if you are wanting to watch your own hosted videos remotely. RDP doesn't provide quality enough video (in my experience.) RDP already passes through audio, if I remember correctly, when run headless.
September 20, 20169 yr And if you want to use the gpu for two VMs, you can't do that simultaneously but you can switch between the two. I have a bunch of rarely used VMs, all set up to use the same gpu and if I need to fire one up, I make sure the others are shut down before I do that
