jonp
Yup, we already have this in an internal build of 6.3. Link to comment
gfjardim
Yup, we already have this in an internal build of 6.3. Maybe it should be backported to 6.2 series, in one of the next releases, since it's an annoying bug that makes TM backups unstable sometimes. Link to comment
jonp
Will propose that to the team for consideration. Link to comment
jonp
After discussing internally, we're going to hold off on back-porting this update to Netatalk as its not considered a major bug. I haven't been able to recreate the TM backup instability issue you mentioned, but will continue to do so going forward. Edit: this is updated in 6.2.1 Link to comment

It will be nice to get rid of netatalk. Have you tried this method? http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/turn-nas-windows-share-time-machine-backup/ Link to comment

I tried to announce a SMB share via Avahi accordingly to that doc, it's detected but TM says it's not compatible. padrão 08:16:47.033349 -0300 mds volume:0x7fa97b9a7000 ********** Bootstrapped Creating a default store:1 SpotLoc:(null) SpotVerLoc:(null) occlude:0 <private> padrão 08:16:47.083498 -0300 kernel smbfs_vnop_ioctl: Check for durable handles padrão 08:16:47.083513 -0300 kernel smb2fs_smb_check_dur_handle_v2: smb2_smb_dur_handle_init failed 45 padrão 08:16:47.083518 -0300 kernel smbfs_vnop_ioctl: TM Read - attributes 0x4 reconnTO 0 QoS 0x0 padrão 08:16:47.046404 -0300 NetAuthSysAgent NAHCredChange: <private> count: -1 label: <nolabel> padrão 08:16:47.057737 -0300 Console Failed to resolve bookmark 7fe0c6026600 with error: <private> padrão 08:16:47.071609 -0300 opendirectoryd Client: <private>, UID: 502, EUID: 502, GID: 20, EGID: 20 padrão 08:16:47.079844 -0300 TMHelperAgent bundleid: com.apple.TMHelperAgent, enable_level: 0, persist_level: 0, propagate_with_activity: 0 padrão 08:16:47.080669 -0300 TMHelperAgent subsystem: com.apple.siri, category: Intents, enable_level: 1, persist_level: 1, default_ttl: 0, info_ttl: 0, debug_ttl: 0, generate_symptoms: 0, enable_oversize: 0, privacy_setting: 0, enable_private_data: 0 padrão 08:16:47.089240 -0300 com.apple.prefs.backup.remoteservice CGContextSetFillColorWithColor: invalid context 0x0.
