ghart999
Hello all. Is there anything I need to do special to preserve my Array, parity and cache drives when installing a new MOBO? I assume I can just line up the SATA connectors exactly as the existing mobo? Or do I need to define Disk numbers in the BIOS? Anything else? Thanks all. Link to comment
greg_gorrell
Nothing, take a screen shot of your array and then when you reboot unRAID make sure all the disks are selected correctly before starting array. If unsure, do not set a parity disk and the drive that is unmountable will be your parity. Link to comment
CHBMB
Great thank you. Don't even need to worry about sata port order. Link to comment
ghart999
Sounds good. As an aside point, I may be upgrading my parity drive to something bigger. Are WD Red Drive still the preferred ones to get? Link to comment
