jang430
Hi all. I created a Linux VM on unraid. During creation, there is no audio that can be assigned. My onboard audio is not presented there. I think this is not supported. How are you guys dealing with this? And if you have audio working, how do you let the audio come out of a remote session? Using Turbo VNC. The are a few models you can use ich6,es1370,sb16 and pcspk Link to comment
jang430
Can you explain further? I added it to my xml already. I don't see any choice when doing modifications on my VM. Furthermore, will the audio be passed through to my Turbo VNC screen? Link to comment
kode54
You'll need to use Nomachine v4 or higher if you want audio over the network. VNC does not support audio. Link to comment
jang430
Hello Kode4, I installed Nomachine 4. What port shall I use to connect to VM? doesn't seem to work. Link to comment
kode54
It needs SSH to be open. I'm not sure if it needs any other ports in. Link to comment
jang430
Which needs SSH to be open? The VM itself? Or is it a setting in Unraid? Thanks kode54 Link to comment
jang430
just realized my motherboard doesn't have any onboard audio. Can audio still be emulated? Can my vm have audio? Link to comment

Can my vm have audio? yes you dont need motherboard sound to emulate it. They using splashtop desktop on linux for streaming audio and video (works on all vms windows, mac and linux) http://www.splashtop.com/linux Link to comment
jang430
Hi. I installed xrdp on my VM, still, I cannot use Microsoft RDP on it. I also tried Nomachine. Do I need to install Nomachine server on the Mint VM to connect to it? As of the moment, I cannot. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk Link to comment
