October 20, 20169 yr I was deleting old files in a share i didn't need any more when my Plex gave me an error about not being able to access the rest of a movie i was watching. That was when i discovered that drive 6 in my system was coming up as missing. i rebooted the NAS a couple times with no change. popped the case and reseated all the connections. nope, still broke. unRAID 6.2.1 ASUS H87I-PLUS motherboard Parity Seagate 3 TB 2x WD 2 TB 3x WD 1 TB 1x WD 2 TB (the problem drive)WDC_WD20EARX-00PASB0_WD-WCAZAL821 1x Kingston SSD Cache 250 GB PLEX Docker "Fix Common Problems" that's it on the extra's attached is the dump from unRAID>Tools>Diagnostics nas-1-diagnostics-20161020-1835.zip
October 21, 20169 yr Community Expert If you checked connections and disk is still missing you'll need to replace it.
October 21, 20169 yr Community Expert If your parity was in sync all data will be on the rebuilt disk, as it should be on the emulated disk.
October 21, 20169 yr Community Expert What about the data on the drive? Is it lost? if you start the array with the disk missing (so that it gets emulated) then you can see what data is on that disk. That will also be what you get when you rebuild the disk to a replacement.
October 21, 20169 yr Author Ok, something isn't right. I'm not seeing what i should. At this point i have physically removed the drive from the box. In the unRAID system i'm see that Disk 6 as "Not installed" but as far as i can tell the missing data is not being emulated. i have attached a new system diagnostic nas-1-diagnostics-20161021-1904.zip
October 21, 20169 yr Because the filesystem on disk 6 is corrupted, and you need to Check Disk File Systems
