allischalmersman
Would you guys trust this drive? Kept getting reallocated sector counts increasing on a 3TB Segate drive. Pulled it out, put a new drive in place, rebuilt array, etc. Started running preclears and over the course of like 6 cycles the reallocated sector counts kept going up and up and up. Stopped around 1500 reallocated sectors. I've run another 10 or so preclear cycles and it hasn't budged. Power on hours is over 38k hours, reported incorrect is 11. I have dual parity. Would you guys try rerunning this drive or dispose of it? No trees were harmed in the sending of this message, however, a significant number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced. trurl
No Are you sure the reallocated attribute doesn't say FAILING NOW? I wonder if it has run out of sectors to reallocate and that's why it quit going up. Quote Link to comment
