mymy
Running 6.19 Novice user. My writes to the array (all drives) got very very slow and now they can not even finish without failure. This is from multiple windows PS's. I can read fine and can still watch 720p movies on the server via Plex. Tried rebooting since the server was up for a long time with no impact. I then ran reiserfsck on all drives but all was fine. So I'm stuck on what to do and any help would be appreciated. i attached the syslog, but even some ideas of things to try would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Helmonder
Can it be that your drives are near full ? ReiserFS gets extremely slow if the array gets to be full.. Migrating to XFS will solve that... This is a good route anyway.. ReiserFS has a nasty bug and is not beiing developped anymore.. Quote Link to comment
mymy
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the array is only about 30% full. Can't even write to a disk that is completely empty. Afraid to migrate to anything since I can't write to the disks.......... Can it be that your drives are near full ? ReiserFS gets extremely slow if the array gets to be full.. Helmonder
There are some disk issues.. Check SMART values for: - The Samsung drive ending in 600431 - The Samsung drive ending in 70211 I cannot say if these results in your issues, but good it is not.. Quote Link to comment
