February 18, 20179 yr I'm usually pretty good at navigating google.com, but this time I must admit it has been rather difficult. I'm not all a linux guru so that's not helping either. So I'm having HDMI audio issues and was going to try this MSI fix. It's no problem finding the fix for windows on google, but linux is another story.. My GPU is MSI capable and is enabled by the VM. The GPU Audio device on the other hand is MSI capable, but are NOT enabled by the VM. So how do I get the linux (mint) guest to enable it? Has anybody at all tried this? ~# lspci -v -s 06:00.0 06:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM206 [GeForce GTX 960] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. February 18, 20179 yr Author Thanks, but I have seen that one and it's for windows so not helping me in any way but thanks for the effort
February 18, 20179 yr Author I found some hints here: https://vfio.blogspot.de/2014/09/vfio-interrupts-and-how-to-coax-windows.html If you're using a Linux guest and find devices that aren't using MSI, use modinfo on the kernel module to see if it has an option to turn it on. But i don't know where to start, even with that..
February 21, 20179 yr describe the audio problems. are you certain they are no caused by cpu pinning/assignment?
February 21, 20179 yr Author Yes!! Thank you! Seems to work now! This should be put in the wiki with the windows fix
