Using mover

Featured Replies

I was having some issues using the Mover.  It did not seem like it would do anything.  I just did the upgrade from 6.1 to 6.3.2 and it seems like now it is doing something since the status says that the mover is in progress.  However it seems like now the cache drive is increasing in the size and the free space is decreasing. should it not be the other way around?

still don't understand why my cache drive is filling up even more....im not sending any files to my server. i was just using the mover. its almost full now... why is this ?

it looks like all of my files in my folder music are moving to the cache drive? Huh.  I must not understand the cache drive. i thought when I transferred files to my server they went to the cache drive first then the data. drive. why are they moving from the data drive back to the cache drive??

If you have that share set to use cache : prefer then it will move files from the array to the cache. You probably want use cache yes

Pressing Help brings up a description of what each option does.  Pretty much every page within the UI has associated Help

Everything is good to go! Have my cache drive empty!
