March 31, 201016 yr I've been searching around for a guide for installing and running YAMJ on unRAID but have drawn a blank. What I've done is draw on information available in the YAMJ wiki, the unRAID forum and the nmt forum (so thanks to all those who contributed) and now have it working through trial and error. There follows a set of instructions for anyone who has found themselves in the same position. I'm not sure if every step is necessary and I'm sure this is simple stuff to lots of you but to me it's like rocket science. Hopefully it may help someone out at some stage....it feels nice to give something back for a change! I don’t know if every one of the steps below will be necessary in all cases but here goes: 1. Install java as follows: Google for jre-6u11-i586-1.tgz, download and extract to your flash drive (I used the root/custom folder). I can't remember where I downloaded it from but found it here easily enough: http://www.slackware.org.il/slackware/slackware-12.2/slackware/l/ Install by typing: cd /boot/custom/ installpkg jre-6u11-i586-1.tgz 2. Copy your current YAMJ folder to unRAID (any setup or customisation you have done already will remain), or grab the latest version of YAMJ from here: http://code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/downloads/list Create a directory called "moviejukebox" on your unRAID server from where you want to run the YAMJ script (I used the flash drive for testing purposes and then swapped over to disc1 once I was happy). This does not have to be the same location that you want to store your index file. Initially I created mine here: /root/custom/moviejukebox Extract YAMJ to this folder. 3. Grab the mediainfo file from here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=5546.msg53706#msg53706 and extract it to the moviejukebox directory (in it's own directory called "mediaInfo" (note the small "m" and capital "I", apparently it can make a difference) 4. Navigate to your moviejukebox directory and locate the file called "my_library.xml" You will need to modify the contents of this file (using something like notepad++) to point at the directories you wish to scan for media and to insert the correct "mounts" on your PCH device. Mine looks like this. <libraries> <library> <path>/mnt/user/Movies/High Definition</path> <playerpath>file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/Movies/High Definition/</playerpath> <exclude name="sample,tmp/,temp/,RECYCLER/,RECYCLE.BIN/"/> <description></description> <prebuf></prebuf> <scrapeLibrary>true</scrapeLibrary> </library> <library> <path>/mnt/user/TV/HiDef</path> <playerpath>file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/TV/HiDef/</playerpath> <exclude name="sample,tmp/,temp/,RECYCLER/,RECYCLE.BIN/"/> <description></description> <prebuf></prebuf> <scrapeLibrary>true</scrapeLibrary> </library> </libraries> You're now ready to run the script. 5. telnet in to unRAID and login as root, then type: cd /boot/custom/moviejukebox/ then type bash MovieJukebox.sh My_Library.xml -O /mnt/user/Movies The bit at the end is the location you want to movie index to go once YAMJ has finished doing it's thing so you'll need to change this. Stage 6 is to get this running automatically at a set time on a daily basis. I'll report back once I've found out how to do it (unless someone kind soul can help out!) I've been thinkign about "stage 6" and my preference is to simply to create a user script to call the jukebox command when I'm ready to rebuild it rather than have the system automatically build every day (and therefore spin up all the disks). I probably only add movies to the file at most weekly and therefore kicking off via the unmenu user scripts makes most sense to me. Assume copying the "hello world" example and adding the directory and bash command will do the job
March 31, 201016 yr batfink, could you please post MovieJukebox.sh from the YAMJ folder or is it stock and unmodified? Thanks, great work!

May 5, 201016 yr I'm having a heck of a time trying to get my c-200 to play movies after navigating to them via the yamj gui. So, I have a user share called 'Movies' (you can navigate to it by going to '/mnt/user/Movies'). All of my movies are stored in subfolders of that directory. So, I set the <playerpath> element like this: <playerpath>file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/Movies/</playerpath> However, I get no love from my c-200 with this. When I try to play a movie after navigating to it via the yamj gui, nothing happens. Anyone with any ideas? Thanks, Chris
May 5, 201016 yr Oh, and I forgot to mention... I did create a network share on the c-200 and called it 'Movies'. It is pointed to the 'Movies' share on the unraid box. When I browse to the html pages using my browser and move the mouse over the 'play' button on the individual movie pages, the path sure looks right. To make sure I am understanding this correctly, the part that comes after the "NETWORK_SHARE" is the name of the network share created on the c-200. As long as that network share is pointed at the same place as is specified in the <path> element of the my_library.xml file, then the final path to the actual movie should work out just fine. It seems to me that that is what I have done. But, no love... Anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks, Chris

Thanks, Chris My understanding of the C200 is that you have to 'mount' (by navigating to the share) before anything will play and you can only mount one share at any one time. Is the YAMJ index stored on the network drive or a local drive? If the latter, try 'mounting' the share first and see if that helps
May 6, 201016 yr That solved the problem. I put the index.html in the network share. Browsing the network share just opens up index.html by default and then movies play... magic. Now just to figure out how to get all the fanart and posters to show up in the yamj gui... Thanks again, Chris
May 6, 201016 yr Author Now just to figure out how to get all the fanart and posters to show up in the yamj gui... So the movies are showing but the artwork is wrong or the scan is picking the wrong movie? With the former, you can specify your own artwork by simply placing the filename.jpg in the movie directory (and filename.fanart.jpg for fanart). With the latter you should use a filename.nfo file (it will git better 'hits' with artwork but you can't chose specifically like you can by saving a local .jpg). You could keep it as simple as one line showing the http address of the movie at IMDB, or with lots of detailed information such as custom plots, sets, etc. Much more info over at the NMT forums.... Have fun
May 7, 201016 yr Just in case it was useful to others... I figured out my recent problem. My nfo files were generated using Ember Media Manager. They included all the data about the file (plot summary, stars, etc.). But, it also included the locations of thumbnails and fanart on the web. YAMJ was automatically downloading the remote files rather than just using the local ones. If you have local images that you want to use, make sure that your .nfo file does not include references to remote files. I'm also playing with updates to moviejukebox.properties. I think the following entries will do the same, but haven't done much testing yet... fanart.scanner.useFolderImage=true poster.scanner.useFolderImage=true mjb.sets.indexFanart=true The first two arguments tell the scanner to use your local images. The last tells YAMJ to use images for any 'set' you may have created. Chris
May 30, 201016 yr Followup, I'm not getting those moviejukebox.properties entries to work the way that I would like them. I just spent a bunch of hours commenting out the remote image references in my .nfo files. Ugh...
June 1, 201016 yr I finally got my YAMJ all working on my Unraid Server using the PCH A-100 and A-110. In my set up, I needed http streaming protocol since I have ripped the mt2s streams from several BDs. The way I found it works best for me is: moviejukebox dir lives on a PC on my network media files all live on a single share on the unraid tower the unraid share is mapped to a drive on the PC libraries.xml points to the share for the library bubba webserver running with personal site as the share on unraid tower libraries.xml uses the webserver IP:port as the target to the actual media files the jukebox update.bat is run from the PC I like this set up in that I don't have anything on the tower except the Index.htm, data dir with jukebox files and the media files themsleves. Coming from using YAMJ from myIhome for the last 2 years, this all makes it a little easier for me to manage. So far it seems to be working well and serves the original goal of consolidating all my media to the tower. Special thanks to sean_w_smith and Batfink for helping me get all this sorted out.
June 2, 201016 yr Just copy your script to /etc/cron.daily and you are set. Put also in the go script for persistance.
June 10, 201016 yr if anyone tries running this and gets java errors regarding libXext.so.6 missing, make the following alteration to the moviejukebox.sh file: java -Djava.awt.headless=true -Xms256m -Xmx1024m -classpath .:./resources:./lib/* com.moviejukebox.MovieJukebox "$@" That change did the trick for me. It has something to do with not running with a monitor or not having X11 running.
