Why does the website not also say up to 30 drives? Edited May 1, 20179 yr by miogpsrocks
May 1, 20179 yr The web site still refers to the numbers prior to unRAID v6.2. Use the numbers as given in the link by johnnie.black

May 1, 20179 yr I believe that the 30 array drives include 2 parity disks. So total number of data disks is 28. Might be hard to find a case, but the 5in3 units make decent externals, each storing 5 drives. Just need to run power and SAS / sata cables out the back of the server, and sit the cage(s) on the top or nearby. Not the most elegant solution, but it works!

That's correct, I edited the FAQ to make it clear. 12 minutes ago, bjp999 said: Might be hard to find a case, but the 5in3 units make decent externals, each storing 5 drives. Or use 2 towers , it's how I built my 30 disk server, one tower with 18 disks and another with 12, connected by 2 external SAS cables, so it's very easy disconnect one when I need to work on it.
