1 Drive Redballed and 2 Drives Unmountable

Disks 1, 11 and 12 have read errors, do you have notifications enable?

Unfortunately I can't see what happened on the syslog since it filled up and didn't rotate, you have a hardware issue, probably a controller acting out, and likely the same problem that previously disabled both disks 11 and 12.

Reboot, disable mover logging, and when it happens again post new diags.

Drive cages help eliminate these little adventures into cable hell.

Never seen a case where a disk that dropped from the array showed unmountable vs redballed before. I think it's a bug. I understand that drives are kicked on writes, but if drives are missing, reads and writes are gonna fall.

1. Yes, notifications enabled. I must have missed the drives going down, this time.

2. I have drive cages -- it's a 20 drive Greenleaf Technologies build

3. I ran XFS check -L on all drives. It created about 120GB of lost+found files, after running on all drives. Things seem a bit more stable now, after running full tilt overnight

4. How do I disable mover logging? (Where)?

There is really no reason to miss a notification, since you can get them emailed to you or otherwise sent to various "Notification Agents" so you can receive them on your mobile device. If you only have them displayed when you open the webUI then you are not going to know about them when they happen.

Agreed. To that point, I didn't get a notification, then. I've checked my emails, and I do receive them all the time. The way this one happened was weird, I hit Stop, the array stopped, I Started in Maintenance mode and it said "no drives had errors" which I thought was odd. Then I looked at the most recent log lines and saw the errors on 3 drives. Nothing ever popped up in notifications while Tower was started or via email.
