Copying files from Synology to Unraid using Rsync

Hi all, 

 

i have been using synology for years and just decided to join the unraid community weeks ago.

 

I would like to copy 3 share folders from synology to unraid. Just one-way from synology to unraid. Tried resilio sync but I am not impressed, the setting was gone after a reboot.

 

First, i have heard of unraid but never tired it. From what I read on the forum, I should create a rsyncd.conf in /etc/ and keep another copy in the flash drive. I created the rsyncd.conf on mac and uploaded it to a user share. But I cannot copy/move the file to /etc/ in Krusader on webgui or finder on mac... however, I do not understand how the config file can run rsync...

 

Second, I read something about the following command:

 

rsync -av -e ssh username@ipaddress:~/Video /mnt/user/username/Video

 

the command above seems to be able to connect synology from unraid but it said "Error: Module is write only"

 

kindly accept my apologies if the questions above are too nonsense and any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
