Upgrading SABnzbd Docker

Featured Replies

Apparently I'm running a really old version of SABnzbd. According to the configuration page, I'm still on 1.0.0.

Unfortunately, I can't find a way to update to the newest version.  Am I missing something?  unRAID, under Docker Containers, shows SABnzbd as "up-to-date", but the SAB website says that the newest version is 2.1.0.

Which version are you running?  Needo, Limetech?

To be honest, I'm not sure.  It's been so long, I don't remember.  Is there an easy way to find out?

Go into the settings page for the Docker, it should show which one was used.

Ah.  Found it.

It says the repository was needo/sabnzbd

So, stop the container, make a note of the folder mappings exactly as you have them setup, and back up sabnzbd.ini which should be in the appdata/sabnzbd folder.

Then install the new container but change the appdata folder it's using, then stop the new container, replace the sabnzbd.ini in your new appdata with the old one and restart the container.

I'd recommend the linuxserver.io version (obviously)

Time to replace it, it is no longer maintained.  Look at Binhex and Linuxserver.io.  Check your other Dockers, as well - needo is no longer active.

I'm also using the needo Sonarr docker repository, but I can update Sonarr from within the application.  Is it recommended that I update that application as well, or not, because I can update it?  If I were to update, I think I can do a backup / restore from inside the application, but I"m not sure.
