August 2, 20178 yr Hoping someone can give me some guidance on an issue I noticed this morning. Have 4 drives (3 drives for files and 1 parity drive). One of the Shares that I've set up is for "Movies". This share has 3 directories (HD, SD, Home) to organize the different types of movies I have. "Movies" share has following settings: Allocation method = High-water Split level = Automatically split only the top two directory levels as required Included disks = All Excluded disks = None Use cache disk = Yes Enable Copy-on write = Auto Previously, I could browse to all 3 drives and see directories for "HD, SD, Home". Today, I noticed that HD and Home directories appear on all 3 drives. SD only appears on one drive Drive 3, but when I explore that directory, it no longer contains any of my SD movies. It only contains one movie that is actually a HD movie. Basically, all of my SD content is missing. Any tips on how to troubleshoot?
August 2, 20178 yr Does (HD + Home) usage same as array disk usage ? If yes, I think SD may be deleted.
August 2, 20178 yr Author No, not same usage. There's just over 1TB less usage on the shares than reported on the disks
August 2, 20178 yr That should be good sign, would you try new permissions for all disk in "Tools" -> "NEW PERMISSIONS" . How about the founding if use SSH console command prompt to check ? Edited August 2, 20178 yr by Benson
August 3, 20178 yr Author Ran New Permissions in Tools, but same result. When I SSH in as Root and browse, I still am unable to find the files
August 3, 20178 yr Community Expert Do you have any dockers or other apps that copy or move or delete files?
August 3, 20178 yr When you say "browse" what are you using? MC? Can you see the files properly by browsing user/Movies?

Do you actually know that any files are missing? Are you sure they aren't just on other drives? Since you have the share set to use cache, have you looked on the cache drive?
August 3, 20178 yr Author @trurlOnly Docker I have is Plex. Apps are: unBalance, Unassigned Devices, Preclear Disks, Nerd Tools, IPMI support, Fix Common Problems, Dynamix WebGUI, Dynamix System Statistics, Dynamix System Information, CA Cleanup App Data, CA Backup / Restore Appdata, CA Auto Update Applications). I've browsed the other drives and the cache, and they are not there (or at least they are not visible to me). Also, I take back what I said earlier. I do have a TV Shows share that is also spread across two of the drives. So when I total up the usage on the shares, it does seem to match the usage of the actual drives. I guess this means they were somehow deleted? That sucks @NeoDude I am unable eto see the files properly browsing user/Movies

August 5, 20178 yr Author Ok, that was really dumb of me. Went exploring all of my movie directories, and found them. They somehow were moved to a directory under my HD files. All is well now. Thank you @trurl and @NeoDude for the help.
