August 5, 20178 yr I just noticed my log flowing over with the following errors, litteraly thousends of lines: Aug 5 09:01:22 Tower kernel: BTRFS warning (device sdf1): unhandled fiemap cache detected: offset=737673216 phys=4350063071232 len=262144 flags=0x0 Aug 5 09:01:25 Tower kernel: BTRFS warning (device sdf1): unhandled fiemap cache detected: offset=555073536 phys=4341583130624 len=147456 flags=0x0 Aug 5 09:01:27 Tower kernel: BTRFS warning (device sdf1): unhandled fiemap cache detected: offset=728711168 phys=4350221017088 len=49152 flags=0x0 Aug 5 09:01:27 Tower kernel: BTRFS warning (device sdf1): unhandled fiemap cache detected: offset=236716032 phys=4341535522816 len=262144 flags=0x0 Aug 5 09:01:28 Tower kernel: BTRFS warning (device sdf1): unhandled fiemap cache detected: offset=559185920 phys=4328638078976 len=229376 flags=0x0 I have run a btrfs scrub on the cache drives but there are no errors there.. Also I do not notice any things going wrong on the system.. It is mentioned on the internet in combination with the exact linux distro now part of the latest RC .. http://www.1oo.club/what-does-the-btrfs-warning-unhandled-fiemap-cache-detected-mean/ Edited August 5, 20178 yr by Helmonder
August 9, 20178 yr My syslog is overflowing with the same btrfs error since upgrading to rc7a also. Very much looking forward to the fix.
August 14, 20178 yr I have a 2-120GB SSD in a RAID0 BTRFS. I was getting the same warnings. A scrub showed nothing. I ran a balance. When done, I stopped and started the array. The warnings are gone now. Rebooted. Still no warnings. Edit: never mind they came back Edited August 14, 20178 yr by dmacias
