joelones
Just upgraded to ESXi 5.5 and was using plop before with the USB unRAID device connected. Plopkexec appears to boot with the usb but later fails to find the usb and I get the "Waiting for /dev/disk/by-label/UNRAID" errors. Thoughts here? Quote Link to comment
itimpi
That sounds as if you are not passing the unRAID USB stick through to the VM. This is required for key authentication purposes. Quote Link to comment
joelones
Yes, I am passing it in as a USB Device. And the label is "UNRAID". Edited October 23, 2017 by joelones Quote Link to comment

joelones
I still getting the "Waiting for /dev/disk/by-label/UNRAID" every so often, occasionally it goes away with a reboot but comes back. Could my USB be on the verge of going? Quote Link to comment

Could my USB be on the verge of going? What you did? upgraded Esxi? you can always try different USB with Trial key. as i tested these USB resets, one USB works just fine, another not. What make of USB key do you have? Quote Link to comment
joelones
Yeah that's what I did, requested a new license for an Adata usb, previous one was an older Toshiba data traveler, hopefully I'll have better luck. I also upgraded my esxi box to 6.5, and still experienced this with the older key. Thanks Edited October 24, 2017 by joelones Quote Link to comment
