Does anybody use the ASUS M4A88TD-M/USB3?

Hi!

I'm trying to build my first unRAID server therefore I'm looking for some hardware I could use.

Does anybody use the ASUS M4A88TD-M/USB3 as a mobo?

It offers 6 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports which may be interesting for a faster sync when these HDDs will be available. Or wouldn't that make any difference?

Could I extend the board with an Supermicro Add-on Card (AOC-SASLP-MV8) in the PCIe 2.0 x16 slot?

Would that be a good choice for an unRAID Server or should I use a different board like the ASUS M4A785T-M as mentioned in the wiki?

Thx  :)

I don't see any reason why it would not work.  The NIC chipset is a Realtek and should work just fine.  As far as putting a Supermicro card in the x16 slot that is something you will have to contact Asus about.  Only they can answer that question up front, before buying the board.  The only other way to know is to buy the board and try putting the Supermicro card in the slot.
