January 10, 20188 yr Hi, as i had to enable ASC now to get my VM´s working. is there anything i have to watch now and can this cause issues ? as i see now my groups are more or less all splitted off now and the devices are not grouped anymore ... wich i would say is prefect but i assume theres a reason why it aint like this by default is it only that i should know that i cant passthrough special devices somewhere and break things ? or can it cause system issues ? anything special i have too look for in logs ? i cant find any special "errors" or so actually. my "new" IOMMU groups are like this now and all seems to be fine, but ... January 10, 20188 yr i enabled this and had some disk DMA messages in the logs for 24 hours. all of a sudden one my parity drives just dropped out of the array and a data disk just died as well. Yet both disks are fine, i wouldn't turn this option on even though it also fixed my passthrough issues its now broken things.
January 10, 20188 yr See my experience here: https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/37959-guide-passing-through-network-controllers-to-unraid-6-virtual-machines/?do=findComment&comment=602127
January 10, 20188 yr Author Same reason here, I had to move the nic in the 2nd pcie slot and then it was grouped with the GTX 1070 ... I ll check if i can arrange otherwise, then both GPU would be probably grouped ... The 10g nic needs at least a x4 slot when I remember correctly, so i don't have too many options [emoji16]Thanks for the link ... So I watch for errors now [emoji41]Gesendet von meinem SM-G950F mit Tapatalk
