how-to Twonky Media Server

Recommended Posts

So, I can't access tower:9000.

Files are copied, and the go file is modified.

Can anyone give me any hints on what to try?

I'm also experiencing the same troubles as Parsec..

Since the thread was started about 5 years ago, any past troubles are not necessarily related to any current ones.  Having read much of the thread i did not see that Parsec had any particular issues.  So can we start at the beginning....

Which version of Twonky are you installing?  4/5/6/7...?

How have you installed it?  (Copied files? if so where? Run a script? etc)

Which version of unRAID are you using? (just in case, but it should not matter)

Sorry for the questions, but without knowing exactly what you've done it's hard to give advice.

Sorry, I was rather vague.

I'm running unraid 4.7 and Twonky "twonkymedia-i386-glibc-2.2.5-5.1'.

I used the setup guide from http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Install_Twonky_Media_server

Completing steps 1234 and rebooting the server as step 5 recommends. Watching it boot it does seem to 'start' twonky but I cannot seem to access it.

I appreciate you taking an interest, as a newbie I'm pulling out my hair haha..

Thanks for the follow up - I had not yet got round to further digging...

It's strange that you had a problem, but there may be some specific setting that is different.  I ran Twonky 4.x, 5.x and 6.x under unRAID 4.7 but now under unRAID 5.

Incidentally, that's quite an old version of TwonkyMedia Server.  If it works and you're happy then it may be best left alone.  I currently run TwonkyMedia Server 6.0.39.  I have steered clear of the newer version 7 because the configuration files are much harder to tweak to non-standard settings.
