March 11, 20188 yr Hey all, I've got a problem with GPU passthrough in Unraid. The VM I'm trying to pass the GPU (GeForce GT240) to is a Windows 10 machine. When I select VNC as video output, the machine boots and I can VNC into it. When I select the GT240 as video output and start the machine, the monitor attached to the dedicated GPU stays off. Pinging the VM also indicates that it's offline. Unraid outputs video via de integrated graphics of my server. Unraid version: 6.4.1 I would attach the log of the VM, but trying to open that via the web interface gives a window that keeps loading into infinity. Any help in figuring this issue out would be greatly appreciated.
March 12, 20188 yr Did you try your VM using SeaBios? I seriously doubt that card would work with your VM bios set to OVMF.

Works but Unraid 6.7.2 will only pass GPU thru if the VM has not been used since the initial boot of Unraid. Unraid is not resetting something when the VM shuts down or the VM reboots. I have used the GT240 many times for the VMs from 3 years ago to about 1 year ago, then I stopped using the VM's. So tried a new VM now, VM doesn't reboot or shutdown properly. It also could be the VM. Will try a different Linux. Edit: different Linux VM still same issue. Edited July 27, 20196 yr by Paul_Ber
