Use 1 keyboard/mouse for 2 desktop systems

Featured Replies

Currently I'm not using unraid, but I'm curious if it could work the way I want it to.

Is it possible to install 2 desktop OS's, for example Fedora Workstation and Windows 10, sharing the same mouse and keyboard?

Using 2 different drives, I do my programming work/personal stuff on Fedora Workstation and I play games on Windows 10. I would love it to be able to switch OS throughout, while keeping both operating systems running. I'd say that's possible, but I'm wondering how that would work when you have only 1 keyboard and mouse.

KVM switch or Synergy 2

Or just VNC from the Windows VM to Fedora.

Thanks for that! I might try that. In my question above, I asked about sharing the mouse/keyboard while keeping both running. How about not keeping them running at the same time, but for example shut down Windows 10 and boot Fedora Workstation?

Synergy..I use it for my VMs.
