ebirck
Hello, I have been using unRAID for my daily computer for about 2 years now, and for various reasons I am considering a complete system refresh soon - while going through the system I noticed when I originally set it up some of my most commonly used VM's are stored on a cache-disk-only share for read speed purposes. Ideally I would like to make this so the data is also backed up on the array. Is there a way to both have data persist on the cache pool and have it be copied by the mover? I suppose in this case the 'mover' would be more of a 'cloner' but I'm curious if this functionality is possible. My main reason for wanting to do this would be read speeds from the share, I'm planning to get some fancy PCIe SSD's for an upgraded cache pool and I'd like to fully use their speed while still having data backed up (cloned) on the HDD array for redundancy. BRiT
There are a few plugins that can backup VMs or Dockers. Link to comment
ebirck
So nothing built-in by default? Can you recommend one? Also, would any of them work for a whole share if I wanted to simplify what's backed up (save VM images in the backed up share)? Thanks Link to comment
