SATA to USB, for Internal BD Drive

Featured Replies

So...is there any reason, something like this (made for a 2.5" drive); wouldn't work??

I have this: http://a.co/db8GNDb . Essentially it is the same -- other than mine having external power. My OCD doesn't like the fact that it would be 'loose'. As long as the USB port can supply steady power, it should be OK. (For a SSD drive?)

No; as the title states...this is for an Optical BD drive (5.25" Blu Ray).

I see your solution, but I guess that's my question; why pay ~$20-some, as opposed to a couple of bucks...for the above cable (unless there's a reason)?
