June 8, 20188 yr Hey everyone, So if I reboot my server everything is fine but then after a few minutes, I get this Docker error and then the docker tab disappears from the top (but everything running in Docker is still working fine). Also, notifications are enabled, you even still get them popping up behind the warning. So something isn't right. Any idea how I fix? Oh and this started happening when I was running 6.5.0, I updated hoping it would go away but no luck! :P
June 8, 20188 yr Looks like a problem with your USB device. Shutdown your server and take the USB device out, let it do a file system check on a Windows machine and repair as needed. You also may try to put the USB device in a different connector, preferably USB2.
June 8, 20188 yr Author Plugged into Windows and did the requested repair, tried it a couple of times to make sure Windows was happy with it but still having the same issue back on the server Also plugged into a different (USB2) port.
June 8, 20188 yr I had the exact same symptoms. It turned out the the USB drive itself would vanish from the USB hub (on the motherboard). https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/71396-solved-revenge-of-the-sith-my-usb-drive-has-fallen-to-the-dark-side/ And in a desktop it would mount then any activity after a minute or so it would disappear. It was replaced under warranty. Out of curiosity, what is the brand and model of the USB drive?

I mean it is a few years old now (and according to Unraid has 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 writes?!)
June 8, 20188 yr Thats a lot of writes! I've never liked SanDisk. But the drive that died of mine was a Lexar JumpDrive S45. Reviews showed a tenancy to die after a while. Replaced under warranty. Looks like SanDisk and Lexar have Limited Lifetime Warranties... That S45 only had a 3 year (should have been a clue). Maybe you can get it replaced. I imagine a SMART report might show an issue.
June 8, 20188 yr Author Looks like that massive amount of writes is also part of the issue, it goes back to normal numbers after a reboot. I'm starting to think the USB drive is dying. It's only £5 for a new one so will get one ordered and swap the key over.
