chanders
Ok so dont kill me for this, but I just came across these on eBay. Not that I want to buy them but what are you guys options on these? They say its its a white label product. "A white label product is a product produced by major hard drive company that manufactured for other companies (OEM Hard Drive Reseller/VAR) re-brand to make it appear as if they made it or for large volume special application." Or is it Chinese knock offs? http://cgi.ebay.com/New-2TB-64MB-Cache-7200RPM-SATA2-Hard-Drive-FREE-SHIP-/170530994054?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b4707786#ht_3329wt_911 Link to comment
Rajahal
The placement of the various black circle certainly makes it look like a WD drive. Past that, I've got nothing. I can't see the price (work firewall blocks ebay), but I really can't imagine these being worth the risk. No warranty = no deal for me. Link to comment
graywolf
Hmmm...$109....can get that deal for named brands (so you know what you are getting) from newegg frequently. In fact, (good until 9/1), can get Hitachi drives for $89 http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=7595.0 Link to comment
Rajahal
Haha, $109 isn't a good deal at all. Link to comment
chanders
I dont live in the US so newegg doesnt take my Credit Card They don't even like my paypal account. I have no problems sending money to ppl though and other sites like Amazon and eBay are no problem at all.. I do have a "SkyBox" in Miami that collects my stuff and sends it down to here (Caribbean ) Link to comment
Rajahal
Ah, I see. Even still, Amazon often has good deals on brand new drives. There's no need to risk your money on these no-names. Link to comment
