Marauder
I've got 2 vms running on ESXI. Is it possible to import the VMDK export of these vms from ESXI into unraid's KVM system? Quote Link to comment
testdasi
Yes and no. I have read on the forum that unRAID supports vmdk (unofficially) but have not managed to get it to work for my VM. I'm guessing it depends on which version of qemu and which version of vmdk. What I have done is to convert my vmdk images to raw / qcow2 and that works fine, again with a caveat. I had to download the latest qemu-img to be able to convert my vmdk correctly. The qemu-img included in unRAID (6.5.3) creates blank files when converting vmdk - which is why I suspect it's a version thing. Quote Link to comment
