A couple really minor requests

Featured Replies

Some will probably consider these stupid or gadgety (is that a word?), but these are a few pieces of info I found myself wanting in the web GUI:

1.  Total uptime timer - I always heard that Linux can go much longer between reboots.  It would be cool to see how long your system stays running. Also, for those of us who leave our system in the basement unattended for long periods of time, it could be used to tell if the computer spontaneously rebooted for whatever reason.  I know my Win servers have done this more than once.

2.  Total array size - The total size of the array minus the parity drive.

3.  Total available space in the array - could be especially useful once user shares are writable.

Just some food for thought.

Great ideas! You can get uptime, I believe, by telnet and executing the TOP command, but the others mean we have to do math hehehe.

I like the suggestions and second the request  ;D

You can also get uptime by installing my unmenu script described in this post:

It looks like this when invoked from telnet, and permit basic array monitoring, disk status, and shutdown:

I would like a GUI with these 3 settings as well. I hope 4.1 will be the huge over the top upgrade :)
