UDMA CRC error count

Featured Replies

I bought a refirb drive off of Amazon, which had some pretty good reviews.  It was this drive: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HEF8OV0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've spent the last 4 days stress testing it, and it more or less tested out fine, with the results that looked pretty good.  Results attached as "HDD Test 1" & "HDD Test 2"

I connected it to my system as my parity drive, and it immediately gives me "UDMA CRC error count" But is proceeding to do a Parity-Sync, but above it it states "Parity is Invalid"

UnRaid health check screenshot attached as "Health", and screenshot of Parity Check area attached as "Check".

Is Unraid stating "Parity is Invalid" normal until the sync is complete?

Do you guys think I should return the drives, and drop the extra money on a brand new drive?

UDMA CRC errors are not a disk problem, they usually are a cable problem, and if they are old errors (it never resets) you have nothing to worry about, just acknowledge the current value on the dashboard, if they increase you likely have a bad SATA cable.

"Parity is invalid" is correct. The parity is not valid until it is completely rebuilt.
