nekromantik
Hi Currently have 2 disks in my array. I have my share minimum free space at 60GB and using High Water. However every now and again I get a Disk 1 has high utilization errors. So it does not seem to be using the second drive much at all. Most of my files are between 1 and 15GB each. Any suggestions? itimpi
What do you have set for Split Level? If there is contention between the Allocation Method and Split Level for selecting a disk for a file then Split Level wins. Link to comment

My folders in the share are as follows: /Shares/Media then multiple folders under TV and Movies folders. Link to comment

If that is the case then only files that have a different folder (that does not already exist) at the second level will obey Allocation Method. Link to comment

So only way for me to split between disks is to have like: /TV /Movies And then it will split it across both disks? Link to comment

Without knowing more about the actual paths of the files in question it is impossible say. Chances are that you need to increase the Split Level setting until you start getting the behaviour you want. note that changing the Split Level only applies to new files - it does not get existing files moved. If you want to move existing files around then you may find the unBalance plugin to be of use. Link to comment
