December 15, 20187 yr Author True, I’ll just use the onboard one. Should my parity drives be rebuilding on a fresh start of unraid ? Also seems like it’s taking forever to format all my drives, I had to reboot the server to get them to say they were ready

No, on a truly fresh install parity hasn't been built yet, so no rebuild, but parity definitely needs to be synchronized initially. Unraid parity operates on a device level, not on files. 8 hours ago, Saiyan528 said: Also seems like it’s taking forever to format all my drives, I had to reboot the server to get them to say they were ready Did you force a shutdown? If so, you may have corrupted the initial parity build. Maybe you should post a screenshot of the main GUI and the diagnostic zip file to see where you are in the process.
