Axodious
I work in IT and have an SBS server at home for testing purposes, I also use it for my media storage. Because of this I can't run unRAID on that machine and I don't want to have 2 machines running when 1 should suffice. My question is this: How should I be running my hard drives in Windows? Should I just stick to the normal RAID setups (which are a pain when adding more storage)? Or is there another way to maintain everything? Link to comment
queeg
Get with the program. unRAID is the way to go for media storage. All you need is a cheap low power cpu, a bit of ram (2GB absolute max, works even with 512MB), any onboard video support is plenty. A $30 single rail psu. Even a cheap ugly case. Link to comment
