January 13, 20197 yr I have two win 10 vm's, one is running ok, the other has stopped & I can't restart it. When I start it, it runs for a few seconds then stops. Below is copy of log file, Another question, where on the unraid server can I find the "my documents" of the failed vm so I can reclaim some data? Thanks in advance Bernard

Assuming you didn't map "my documents" to a network location on the server, it's inside the vdisk1.img file. You should be able to add another vdisk definition to your working VM and point it at the failed VM's vdisk, then when you start the VM it will show as another drive letter. Alternatively you could set up another VM fresh, so as not to risk your current good VM, and do what I said on the new VM.

January 13, 20197 yr Hmm. Next option, set up a VM with a live boot CD ISO as the OS install and the problem vdisk as the primary vdisk. One option for a live boot CD ISO is this. http://www.system-rescue-cd.org/ There are many options, google for windows rescue iso for other ideas.
