Relatively healthy, there are a few reallocated sectors, but could be old, run an extended SMART test.

Does the extended test take long ?, I started it and it went straight to 10% and has been on that for half an hour now

Yes, it's a full surface scan, approximate time is mentioned on the SMART report:

Extended self-test routine
recommended polling time: ( 390) minutes.

Why wouldn't it be?

It did, but the disk doesn't look very healthy, some concerning attributes, especially Multi_Zone_Error_Rate which would be 0 on a healthy WD drive, still and since you already replaced the power cable I would swap the SATA cable with a different disk, this means it will also use a different SATA port, then try again, if it fails again it's likely the disk.

well its rebuilding again, not holding my breath, its marked as faulty in the disc stats on dashboard
