May 2, 20197 yr Hi, I am new to unRAID and not a tech guy, so I need bit of help.I want to run Plex on a Ubuntu vm. Ubuntu vm is up and running, but I can not see unraid shares in Plex when making Libraries. I played around with the "Unraid share" in the template, but that didn`t do the trick. Hope someone can help. Cheers, Frode
May 3, 20197 yr Author I am up and running with Plex docker and nvidia plugin. But I also want to be able to test/run Plex thru Ubuntu/Win vm. Plex on the Ubuntu vm do not see mapped drives when adding library. I am trying to figure out if it is a Ubuntu setup issue or a Plex issue. And my Win10Pro only see one Computer in my network, not unraid shares or my Mac. Network discovery is on and checked advanced sharing. Another Win10Home vm have no problem seeing Computers in the the network. Strange to me.

May 4, 20197 yr @frodr Out of the box it doesn't work like adding another vdisk. Depending on the distro you are using you have to adjust a couple things. Check the below thread peolpe already talked about so maybe you get an idea how it works. Also the Qemu wiki explains everything that you need: https://wiki.qemu.org/Documentation/9psetup
May 4, 20197 yr It's much easier to just use the same methods you would use if the VM was on bare metal in the same network instead of using the 9p shares. Google "connect windows share to ubuntu", since unraid presents its shares as windows shares by default.
May 4, 20197 yr Author No problem to see and map unraid "media" to ubuntu. My struggle is to map that unraid "media" folder to a specific place where Plex can add it in the library setup.
