Hello,

I have this error for a few days when I try to rename a folder. All my shares are read-only.

What I did:

I have just started a parity check, no mistakes at the moment but it is far from over (~ 5 hours).

I tried to make the rights corrections with "new permission" but my all shares is unprotected and accessible to everybody, very badly that.

This did not correct this error.

What should I check?

Thank you for your help.

Diagnostics?

Sounds like the flash drive may have errors.

I have to look in which file in Diagnotics for this kind of errors?

While waiting for an answer, I continued my tests.

What I did:

- Shutdown of the server and verification of the file system of the USB key. No error.

- Starting the server in maintenance mode

- Test all the discs. No error.

I am still searching ...

I had the same error today while trying to delete a specific folder after restarting the array (which restarts samba). Finally I solved it by creating a new folder in the same share. Not sure why this solved it, but it worked 🤷‍♂️ (checked permissions, even ACLs, but they were correct).
