tucansam
Slowly but surely, over the least few months all Windows (7 and 10) systems in my home have had trouble seeing my unraid server's shares, and now, the server itself on the network. It went from all mapped drives being visible, to having to manually enter "\\192.168.0.5\share" in the text bar at the top of the file explorer, to then having to find the system manually under the "network" icon on the bottom right, to now several systems simply cannot access the server at all (the server is online and other systems can access it, although with varying degrees of failure). Any ideas? Currently set to local master browser as well. Edited August 25, 2019 by tucansam Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
MS has implemented several security updates to their Windows side of SMB in the past couple of years. There have been many 'Workarounds' to keep things working and you can find most of them in the thread: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/53172-windows-issues-with-unraid/ You have probably done many on the first several pages so you might want to start at the end of the thread and work backwards. Unfortunately, with WIN10, there are so many different WIN10 versions (at least, 5) and varieties (Home, Pro, etc.) and that a single path to a solution is a minefield. Quote Link to comment

Frank1940
You could install the Dynamix Local Master plugin. It can be download using the CA APPS tab. It puts up an icon on the topbanner that looks like this when your server is the Local Master call the 'Yoda' icon: There is also a small program available that you can download called LANscanner v2.01 from ScottiesTech.Info (search for the website using Google.) Use the same care that you would when you download any program from the Internet. I have it and can tell you it works even with WIN10. Quote Link to comment
