November 8, 201015 yr Author You have to have a back-end software package that creates the web pages for Apache (or Lighttpd) to serve. Open ShowCenter, OxylBox, etc., there are many. Or you can write your own like this one I did: See...I kinda get all that; I really do. I mean, I used YAMJ for many years; I'm using Zappiti now, with my recent switch to Dune. While I'm no expert, I kinda get the relationship between media-streamer and media-server/GUI interface, etc. Where I'm getting thrown a little curve is the idea of this Roku and Roksbox. Roksbox is a channel on the Roku, and it already has its interface. I think it just needs a way to get to the media files on your server; in other words...I think it just needs a web server, not a media server. What I need is someone who has done this with Roku, Roksbox, Linux, and lighttpd; you can imagine how many responses I have so far...lol. I have posts in the Roku thread at AVS, Roksbox thread at Roku, and lighttpd thread here...but I can't piece the parts together. I think I'm going to punt, and just run the dum-dum Mongoose on Windows...pointing at my unRAID...until I can sort out a solution. CD
