September 26, 20196 yr Hi All, I would like to expand/upgrade the number of SATA connections available in my unraid server. Can you suggest a good PCIE controller that is 'good bang for the buck'? I see many people talking about the Dell Perc H310 controller, flashed to IT mode. Is this a good option? Could you possibly also recommend a good (read trustworthy) Ebay seller to purchase a card and cables from? TIA.

September 26, 20196 yr It doesnt matter where you buy. Its difference for every country. If i remember correctly you just need to look for 9211 or 9207 (LSI HBA) they can be used. DONT make my mistake and buy ANY sata PCIE controller. After i did that mistake i got the recommended and NEVER had any problems anymore. Edited September 26, 20196 yr by nuhll
