NY152
Hello, After very large data movements on my server, the parity check returned me a lot of errors. My question is simple: Can we know what data has been impacted by these errors? Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
itimpi
It is not normally possible to track parity errors to any data. To detect such problems you need to either have checksums for your files or backups to compare them against. If there are no hardware problems then the most likely issue is that it is parity that is wrong. How did you do the data movement that you mentioned (checking in case the method used could have been by-passing parity). You should post your diagnostics zip file (obtained via Tools -> Diagnostics) to see if anyone can spot a cause for such errors. Have there been any recent unclean shutdowns? Quote Link to comment
NY152
I just decompressed 1TB of data and converted some of it. All this via SMB. I do not have access to my server for the moment so for the dianostic data, it will be complicated. -I will do a volume check first. Quote Link to comment
