josh5565
Finally after 8+ years of pieced together hardware to begin with. My motherboard is dying I am going to just start with all new hardware using my existing drives. Should I grab some data before it completely dies? If so what? Maybe screenshot the drive configuration? Any other challenges I will be facing? Will it be as simple as install hard drives in new machine, move USB drive and boot it? Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
First, backup your flash drive. You can do this by going Main, then click on 'Flash' in the Boot Device section. Then go to the Flash Device Settings section. There you will find a 'FLASH BACKUP' button. Next, be sure that you get a screenshot of the drive assignments on the Main page. If you are really cautious, get a screenshots of every screen on which you have a made a setting that you might not remember--- particularly the Network settings, UPS Settings, Display Settings and the Notification sections. If you have all of these latter ones, you will never need them! 3 hours ago, josh5565 said: Will it be as simple as install hard drives in new machine, move USB drive and boot it? If you are fully prepared for having problems, it will be just that simple! Quote Link to comment
josh5565
Best advice ever, I fully prepared for everything to be screwed up. However all I did was install all the hard drives & move usb, booted it up & everything ran perfectly! Thank you! Quote Link to comment
