Disabled Device Troubleshooting

Featured Replies

I was coping some files to a share using the binhex-Krusder docker from a remote NFS Share using "Unassigned Devices".

During the copy I got an email that said "Unraid Disk 3 error" and when I checked on the systems Disk 3 had a red "x" and was marked as "Device is disabled, contents emulated".

I stopped the copy and shutdown the array. The drive was connected using a LSI 6Gbps SAS HBA LSI 9211-8i card. I had just run a pre-clear on the drive the day before and it passed. As I'm still testing things on the array and don't have anything important on it, I followed the steps to rebuild the drive with the same drive. I moved it to a SATA port directly on the motherboard for now. It rebuilt successfully and I plan on copying files to it and then switching it back to the LSI controller next to see what happens.

What logs should I be looking in to see what caused the issue? Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately diags are after rebooting, disk looks mostly OK but there are some warnings on SMART, if it happens again save diags before rebooting.
